MEET ANNA

Hey there, I'm Anna Godinho and welcome to the world of tutoring;

A brief preamble.

It is my intention to facilitate my students to reach their full potential. By working closely with the family, I ensure children are supported with their learning, instilled with confidence and inspired to face and overcome hurdles.

I began my journey in tutoring 9 years ago when I took up coaching students for the 7+. It didn't take me too long to realise that I was exceptionally good at it and my new found love, paralleled with its success, soon saw me branching into all major school entry exams including the 11+, specialising in private school entry and entry exams for students intending to move abroad. I recognised that I had an opportunity to spread knowledge and lend a helping hand, not only to students but families included.

It is my intention to facilitate my students to reach their full potential. By working closely with the family, I ensure children are supported with their learning, instilled with confidence and inspired to face and overcome hurdles.

A little bit about myself:

I am a curious learner and that helps me expand my knowledge, excessively fond of live theatre and I also enjoy stretching my vocal chords whilst playing the piano. When I'm not doing something that tickles my brain or my musical taste buds, I keep busy either baking or running errands for those who are less able. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, be it giving an ear to their troubles, a push of motivation or just plain uncontrollable laughter as is my innate nature.

What I bring to the table:

My positive outlook, coupled with my dedication to work, is infectious (I'm often told) and it mirrors in my students and brings out a distinct sense of work ethic in them which I personally take a great deal of pride in. Furthermore, I foster an environment where I build a relationship with my students and make them feel comfortable to ask questions as my experience over the years has taught me that the best way to teach is to develop an itch of curiosity and I believe that no question is considered unintelligent and every question deserves an answer. Confidence is also key and I try to inculcate this from the offset so that they do not shy away to accept and learn from their mistakes.

I hold myself to very high standards and expect to deliver the best with no exceptions! In line with this, I have developed a team of like-minded, professional and dedicated tutors. We all believe that with hard work, fun and dedication we can build the children’s confidence and inspire our students. It is our goal to give them that gentle but much-needed nudge to cross the finish line and fulfil their potential!
